HOLLOW HOUSE

TYPE: MULTI-FAMILY, RESIDENTIAL

Hollow House offers a new approach to multi-unit living in Squamish.

All homes are lifted above the floodplain, leaving the ground level open for shared spaces, storage, and future climate needs. At the heart of the building is a central void, roughly the size of a single-family home, bringing light and space into the four stacked units.

Each home is unique but connected through a common structure. Large balconies, shared outdoor areas, and a climbable façade reflect the active lifestyle of the community.

The building’s compact footprint, efficient envelope, and generous roof space make it ready for solar panels or green roofs. Hollow House is shaped by its surroundings and looks ahead to how living in Squamish can evolve.
